Experience Classic F1 Cars on Sustainable Fuel at Goodwood Festival of Speed with Sebastian Vettel.

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed! Retired four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel will make a special appearance, showcasing his love for the sport and his commitment to sustainability.

As a passionate racer and advocate for sustainability in the motorsport industry, retired four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel is bringing his commitment to the ‘Race without a trace’ cause to the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Vettel will take the wheel of classic F1 cars from his personal collection, all of which run on sustainable fuels, to showcase the potential of responsible racing practices. This initiative aligns with Vettel’s values and his mission to ensure that iconic racing cars can be enjoyed today and in the future, in a responsible and sustainable way.

Joining Vettel will be Nigel Mansell’s iconic Williams FW14B and Ayrton Senna’s McLaren MP4/8, the only two confirmed cars for the event so far. Vettel previously showcased the ‘Race without a trace’ initiative when he drove Mansell’s Williams at Silverstone ahead of last year’s British Grand Prix, and he’s excited to bring it to the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

This isn’t Vettel’s first time at the festival, having previously driven his title-winning Red Bull RB7 in 2012. He’s eager to return for a second time, sharing his passion for classic F1 cars and the future of sustainable racing.

“It’s great to be coming back to Goodwood after all these years,” he said. “I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of some of my most memorable cars which will be running on sustainable fuel over the weekend.

“I’m a passionate racer and it’s important to me that we continue to enjoy driving iconic racing cars today and in the future, but that we do so in a responsible way.”

The Duke of Richmond added: “I have fond memories of Sebastian’s first visit to the Festival of Speed in 2012 and am hugely excited to welcome him back to Goodwood.

“I know our fans will be delighted to have an opportunity to celebrate his incredible career and to see him in action on the Hill.

“His attitude towards sourcing alternative fuels absolutely aligns with our plans across the event and the wider Estate to ensure we are shining a light on this important topic and protect motorsport for the next generation.”
