Karun Chandhok: “We want to see Lewis versus Max in 2024.”

Revamped and Ready: Mercedes Accelerates Behind the Scenes as All Eyes Turn to 2024!

Unleashing their strategic might, Mercedes has taken the fast lane in a remarkable backstage overhaul, reshaping the very core of their racing force. The buzz is electrifying, with former F1 ace Karun Chandhok attesting that it’s time to fix our gaze upon the silver arrows for what lies ahead.

Ever since the white-knuckle battle of 2021, Mercedes has yearned to reclaim its glory on the world championship stage. Yet their quest has remained elusive until now.

As the whispers grow louder, pundits from every corner are uniting in a chorus of belief, predicting an audacious Mercedes uprising against the mighty Red Bull. And the year that has them salivating with anticipation? None other than the approaching grand spectacle of 2024!

Recently, during the thrilling ITV coverage of the legendary Goodwood Festival of Speed, the esteemed Karun Chandhok spilled the beans.

The desire burns bright in every racing fan’s heart to witness a spectacular clash between the incomparable Lewis Hamilton and the relentless Max Verstappen, and it seems the stage is set for an epic encore.

“I don’t think they will be back this year,” Chandhok said.

“I think the gap between them and Red Bull is too much for them to really bridge.

“But I think they’ve made a great deal of movement behind the scenes in terms of reorganising the structure of the team: James Allison has come back to lead the technical team.

“So all eyes on them for next year because we want to see Lewis versus Max fighting for the World Championship.

“We think Lewis is about to sign a new contract, which hopefully be another two or three years. I think that’s what the fans want to see: Lewis versus Fernando versus Max.

“And George Russell has done an amazing job in his first 18 months alongside Lewis and it’d be nice to see him have an opportunity to go for a Championship as well,” Chandhok concluded.
