Aston Martin team leader Mike Krack was hesitant to delve deeper after Lance Stroll displayed an outburst in Qatar.
Whispers in the paddock suggested that his father, Lawrence Stroll, might be considering an option to offload the team and possibly bring in the Honda-affiliated Yuki Tsunoda in place of the faltering Stroll.
Tsunoda said when asked: “I want to make it clear that I am with Red Bull.”
Indeed, Aston Martin has previously secured 24-year-old Stroll for the 2024 season, implying that his heated reaction after securing the 17th position might merely be due to disappointment.
With teammate Fernando Alonso achieving an admirable fourth, Stroll expressed his annoyance by tossing his steering wheel from the cockpit.
Subsequently, he forcefully nudged his trainer Henry Howe and provided a seven-word statement to the media outlets – with one of them being an expletive.
Team leader Krack told Bild newspaper: “I haven’t seen anything yet. Before I comment on this, I want to see the situation for myself.”
Esteemed Spanish-speaking commentator Antonio Lobato shared with DAZN: “The body language that we are seeing speaks of the situation that exists right now with Lance Stroll within Aston Martin. It’s a situation, of course, that is good neither for the team nor for Stroll himself.”
