Hamilton claims the final part of the current F1 season will not be a “chore.”

Despite Mercedes’ inability to win a race this season, Lewis Hamilton claims the final part of the current F1 season will not be a “chore.”

At high speeds, Mercedes’ W13’s suspension begins to bounce, which has a number of knock-on effects on performance, including making corner entry extremely difficult. Mercedes’ progress this season has been hampered by W13’s porpoising. Due to porpoising  and mechanical issues, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are winless this season.

When asked how much of a chore the end-of-season run-in would be, Hamilton replied, “I don’t see it as a chore.”

I genuinely enjoy the work that we are doing, regardless of whether we are fighting for first or whatever. I still enjoy getting together with the engineers and mechanics every weekend.

I like having back-to-backs because if you have a bad weekend, you can get back on it quickly, so I still enjoy the challenge of fighting this car every day because you get in and there’s a fight.

“The amount of engineering we have to do to try to dial it in is challenging, and I would say that just increases your accessibility to improve your engineering side.” So I’m having a good time with that. “

“I don’t ever wish time away, so I don’t want to wish the season away,” Hamilton says, adding, “I don’t ever wish time away, so I don’t want to wish the season away.” There will be a lot of information to learn. “

“As a driver, I want to figure out how I can improve and avoid situations like Spa [where Hamilton crashed out].”
