Lewis Hamilton is a British racing driver who is considered one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. He is a seven-time World Champion, having won the title in 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. He has also won a total of 103 Grand Prix races, which stands as the most wins in the history of the sport.
Hamilton was born on January 7, 1985 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. He began karting at a young age and quickly moved up through the ranks of motorsport, eventually making his way to Formula 1. He made his debut in 2007 with the McLaren team and won his first race in Canada that same year.
In 2013, Hamilton left McLaren to join the Mercedes team, where he has won most of his championships. He is known for his aggressive driving style and his ability to consistently perform at a high level. In addition to his success on the track, Hamilton is also known for his work as an activist, modelling, promoting sustainability and fighting for racial equality.

Hamilton’s parents divorced when he was two years old, and he was raised by his mother and elder half-sisters, Samantha and Nicola, until he was twelve.
Hamilton then shared a home with his father, stepmother Linda, and half-brother Nicolas, who is also a professional racing driver.
