Zak Brown’s tenure as McLaren CEO is set to extend with a newly inked long-term agreement. McLaren has officially disclosed that Zak Brown, the current CEO, has secured a fresh long-term contract with the outfit, extending his tenure until 2030.
Brown’s journey with the Woking-based team commenced in 2016 when he assumed the role of Executive Director of the McLaren Technology Group. Subsequently, two years later, he ascended to the position of CEO.
During Brown’s leadership, McLaren Racing has embarked on significant endeavors, including a return to IndyCar and establishing presences in both Formula E and Extreme E. Moreover, his strategic acumen has been pivotal in orchestrating the resurgence of McLaren’s Formula 1 team.
This resurgence culminated in a remarkable milestone with the team clinching its first victory since 2012, triumphing at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix.
