Horner Investigation Draws Attention in F1, Says Hamilton

A decision regarding Horner’s future at Red Bull is anticipated before the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton emphasized the significance of concluding the investigation into Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner, which he believes has cast a shadow over Formula 1.

Horner has been the subject of an internal investigation by Red Bull GmbH following allegations from a female employee regarding his conduct.

This issue has loomed over Red Bull’s season launch of the RB20 and pre-season testing, but a resolution is expected to be announced prior to the Bahrain Grand Prix.

During the media day at the Bahrain International Circuit, Hamilton was questioned about the potential impact on Formula 1 with Horner’s involvement in official FIA-F1 matters while under investigation.

Hamilton elaborated; “We always have to do more to try to make the sport and the environment that people get to work in feel safe and inclusive.

“Any allegations have to be taken very seriously.

“Obviously, we don’t know everything that has gone on but it does need to be resolved as it’s hanging over the sport.

“It will be really interesting to see how it’s dealt with moving forward in terms of the effect it may or may not have on the sport.

“I think it is a really important moment for the sport to make sure we stand true to our values.”
