Pre-season testing encountered its second interruption on the last day’s early session due to a recurring issue.
The same drain cover that led to a halt in activities the previous day caused another stoppage on the final day of testing.
The incident occurred shortly before the 30-minute mark when a drain cover became dislodged at Turn 11, with footage suggesting Sergio Pérez might have veered off the track at that point, leading to the issue.
Currently, a thorough examination of the track is underway, with no specific time announced for when the testing will resume.
The session lost an hour yesterday morning to repair the drain cover, but the time was compensated in the afternoon session to minimize the impact on the teams.
At the moment, Carlos Sainz leads the scoreboard with a time of 1:31.247, closely followed by Lando Norris and Alex Albon.
