Max Verstappen has quashed rumours suggesting internal political turmoil within the predominant Red Bull team, labelling them as “BS”.
Team leader Christian Horner and Dr. Helmut Marko have similarly downplayed these speculations, indicating there isn’t any disagreement over their individual sway on the energy drink company’s Formula 1 initiatives.
“I saw that from the outside people were trying to basically talk some BS, because I think the mood in the team is very good,” world champion Verstappen commented in Austin.
“Everyone knows exactly what their role is.”
While the Dutch driver acknowledged the team experienced “sad times” following the passing of founder Dietrich Mateschitz a year ago, he reaffirmed that the Horner and Marko-led framework remains cohesive.
“Everyone that we have right now in the team is very important to that success that we’re having,” said Verstappen. “So that’s why there are also no changes for the future.”
