As per a Crash report, Mick Schumacher reportedly incurred well over €3 million worth of damages to his car in the 2022 campaign.
According to the German tabloid Bild, this expense was one of the factors in Haas’ decision not to tie Mick down to a new deal for an additional year. Instead, Nico Hulkenberg will take over his place and compete with Kevin Magnussen in the team driver lineup for the 2023 season.

Haas’ team principal, Guenther Steiner, often condemned the 23-year-old for his occasional crashes and its financial strain on the team.
In the just-ended season, Mick Schumacher suffered three crashes. They were in Saudi Arabia, Monaco, and the practice session in Japan.
However, Haas was capable of attracting multiple sponsors to the team due to their relationship with Schumacher, partly because of the status of his legendary family’s history.

Since Schumacher has departed from the team, it’s unknown if the same sponsors will keep supporting Haas. According to Bild, some have already made the decision to go.
The new major sponsor for Haas, though, is going to be an asset for them. Next season, the team’s leading sponsor will be the American fintech firm “Moneygram.” Moneygram Haas F1 Team will be the new name of the team.
With the chance of being a reserve driver at Mercedes in the offing, Schumacher is now left unsure of his future in Formula 1.
