F1 Fans react as George Russell photographed partying together with Hamilton’s rival
Fernando Alonso and George Russell have shocked F1 fans by celebrating the New Year together, as the Mercedes driver shared a picture of the pair partying the night away via his Instagram account.
Russellās maiden campaign for Mercedes was exceptional, especially given how challenging the W13 was to drive.
The Brit incredibly, claimed his first pole position and victory last year, both of which were the Brackley-based teamās only ones in 2022.
By beating Hamilton in the Driversā Championship, Russell became just the third team-mate to have ever beaten the 103-time GP winner, alongside Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg.
