Horner’s Accuser ‘Very Unhappy’ with Investigation Outcome, Says Relative

A source related to the individual accusing Christian Horner has reportedly said that she “feels crucified” following the outcome of the Red Bull team principal’s exoneration from accusations of misconduct.

Horner is presently at the paddock in Bahrain for the upcoming Grand Prix, resuming his duties after an extensive investigation.

Once Horner was cleared to resume his role, a folder purportedly containing messages and photographs from him was disseminated to journalists and prominent figures in Formula One.

Horner has consistently refuted the claims made by the unnamed female Red Bull staff member, who has chosen to stay anonymous during the investigation.

According to the Daily Mail, a relative of Horner’s accuser has broken their silence: “My reaction to all this is that it is disgusting. In the words of Red Bull, Christian Horner has been cleared but I think many people look at that answer and can’t quite fathom out the truth behind it.

“It’s obviously not going to rest now because of these leaks. I wasn’t aware of the messages prior to them being picked up by the media and I have no idea at all who is responsible for the leak.

“You always believe your own, don’t you? I haven’t read the text messages but there was never any relationship between her and Christian – God, no. She doesn’t discuss that sort of stuff with us. If you work for a person like him, you live with many pieces of information that are not to be disclosed. She certainly hasn’t spoken to me about it.”

The informant stated that their family member continues to be employed by Red Bull, holding a position “she loves,” following the conclusion of the team’s internal investigation.

Nevertheless, it has been reported that the employee has stayed back in the United Kingdom and did not make the trip to Bahrain for the season’s opening Grand Prix.

“We speak every day and she’s very unhappy – of course,” the source added. “In her way of thinking it’s all very one-sided and she’s been crucified. Are the Red Bull investigation team independent? Who knows?

“They’ve made comparisons in the newspapers about Christian being grilled for 12 hours or so…well how many hours was she grilled for? They don’t ask that question, but it is a lot more than that.”
