Biography
Logan Sargeant, born on December 31, 2000, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, began his motorsport career in karting, achieving early success by winning the Karting Federation Junior championship in 2015. He then moved to single-seater racing, securing second place in the Formula 4 UAE Championship in 2016 and finishing third in the F4 British Championship in 2017 with two wins and 10 podiums.
In 2018, Sargeant competed in the Formula Renault Eurocup with R-ace GP, recording three wins and seven podiums. His rookie season in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Carlin in 2019 saw him score points on four occasions. Sargeant also made a successful debut at the Macau Grand Prix, finishing third overall.
Joining Prema Racing for the 2020 FIA Formula 3 season, he recorded his first F3 victory at Silverstone and finished third in the championship. In 2021, Sargeant joined Charouz Racing System in F3, finishing seventh in the standings with one victory at Sochi Autodrom.
Stepping up to Formula 2 in 2022 with Carlin, Sargeant celebrated victories at Silverstone and Spielberg, finishing fourth in the standings and securing an FIA Super License. His performance led to him being confirmed as a driver for Williams in the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, becoming the first American to compete in the series since 2015.
